Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010
The start of the Hollywood round on “American Idol” Tuesday gave the show’s ratings a boost over last week, but that didn’t help FOX’s new series “Past Life” much, which lost a good two-thirds of its lead-in.
That fade allowed CBS to stay close in the night’s overall ratings. FOX (18.4 million viewers, 10.1/15 households) still led the night, but CBS (17.4 million, 10.7/17) was a close second. NBC (8 million, 5.0/8) edged ABC (7.3 million, 4.5/7) for third, although “Lost” stayed fairly solid at 9 p.m. The CW’s reruns were barely in the picture with a scant 820,000 viewers and a 0.6/1.
FOX easily won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 6.6 rating. CBS, 3.8, came in second. NBC’s 3.0 narrowly beat ABC’s 2.9 for third. The CW drew a 0.3.
