TV Ratings: Basketball scores, ‘FlashForward’ sees mediocre Thursday

Scripted series took a backseat to the NCAA Basketball Tournament Thursday night in both ratings and demo. ABC’s “FlashForward” returned after a long hiatus and earned mediocre numbers considering that the NBC comedies were its only new non-sports programming competition.

CBS scored with its first round of the tournament, averaging 10.3 million viewers and a 6.5 rating/11 share in households for the night. NBC’s comdies followed with 6.6 million and a 4.2/7. Next came ABC (5.8 million, 3.8/7), FOX (5.3 million, 3.5/6) and The CW (1.4 million, 1.0/2).

The Eye Network also nabbed the adult 18-49 demographic win, drawing a 3.7 rating. NBC followed with a 2.7, then ABC, 1.6, FOX. 1.4, and The CW, 0.6.
