‘Parks and Recreation’ signs Adam Scott

“Party Down” star Adam Scott will be moving to Indiana for his next TV job. Pawnee, Ind., to be exact.
Scott will join the cast of “Parks and Recreation” for the final episodes of this season and become a cast regular next season (the show’s already been picked up for 2010-11). He’ll be playing a love interest for Leslie (Amy Poehler), Variety reports.
Scott will also get a first-look production deal with Universal Media Studios as part of his agreement to join the series.
His signing with “Parks and Rec” means that he’ll be leaving Starz’s cult favorite “Party Down” — though viewers won’t notice anything for a while. The show has already filmed all of its second season, which premieres in April 23. If the show is picked up for a third season, he would likely appear in a couple of episodes, Variety says.
