‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Izzie’s back — again

Katherine Heigl will be back on “Grey’s Anatomy” in the new year — at least for a little while.

ABC has released photos and a description of the show’s Jan. 21 episode, and several of those photos feature Heigl’s Izzie Stevens back at Seattle Grace-Mercy West. The episode description doesn’t have a ton to say about it: “Izzie returns, hoping to reconcile with Alex.”

Based on the evidence at hand, it looks like that goes reasonably well:
