‘Gossip Girl’: Serena and Nate, more than friends?

It’s no secret to “Gossip Girl” fans that Serena can be a bit wishy washy (“Where should I go to college? Do I really want to go to college? Nope, not yet. I like Dan. I don’t like Dan. I like Dan. Nope, I don’t.”). But in “Gossip Girl’s” last episode, way back at the beginning of December, we saw the Upper Eastside high society glam girl take it a step further when she waivers between two cousins. Oh, Serena … when are you going to make up your mind, girl?
At least in the short term, it appears she settles on Nate.
Trip, the freshman congressman, was out of the picture by the end of the last episode, and it’s apparent from The CW’s on-set preview pics that Nate is stepping right in where his cousin left off. Serena is shown both horizontally snuggling (above) and vertically lip-locked (below) with her good buddy, Nate.
Will their friendship turn into more? Or will she decide she likes Dan … again?
