FX is betting that “Twilight” mania won’t have subsided by the end of 2011.
The cable channel has picked up the rights to all four movies (or five — there have been rumors that the final book in the series, “Breaking Dawn,” will be split into two films) in the “Twilight” franchise. FX’s rights to the series will begin with its debut of “Twilight” in late 2011. “New Moon” will follow in 2012, and “Eclipse,” which hits theaters next June, will air in 2013, the showbiz trade papers say.
There’s no word yet on a time frame for “Breaking Dawn” on FX. The movie is tentatively scheduled to begin filming in the spring and will likely hit theaters in 2011.
