‘American Idol’ judge Simon Cowell on ‘The Tonight Show’: ‘Adam should’ve won’

“American Idol” judge Simon Cowell and fiancee Mezghan Hussainy wouldn’t spill about their engagement on “The Tonight Show,” but Simon did say Adam Lambert should’ve won last season.
When Jay tries to get confirmation on the engagement, Cowell says that there is someone in his life and that he decided this year to make somebody happy. He then blushes adorably and says they’ve been together “about a week.”
Cowell goes on to sing the praises of his favorite Idol this year — Crystal Bowersox. She’s the horse he has chosen to back, which makes you wonder what he would say if she had a bad week on the show? He also says that as an overall artist, Adam Lambert should’ve won last year.
